VAVA BOX

Eyewear case, 2014

The packaging for VAVA eyewear was developed with the brand’s edgy eyeglasses in mind. The brand is strongly inspired by science fiction, which in turn inspired the packaging design project. Comprehensive materials research resulted in the choice of rubber on account of its plasticity and soft feel. The VAVABOX manufacturing process uses the same technology as that for making shoe soles, which meant the boxes could be produced in a shoe factory.
